With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lorene Newton (Gering, Nebraska), born in Alliance, Nebraska, who passed away on November 1, 2022 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lorene Newton to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Rose, Helen, Raymond, Leonard and Richard; her sons, Richard (Ernie) and Steven; and her nephew Joe McKenzie.
She is survived by: her spouse Dale Newton; her sons, Robert (Nancy) of Gering and James (Andrea) of Chesapeake, VA; and her grandchildren, Robbie of Scottsbluff and Jennifer Dick (Eric) of Brighton, CO.. She is also survived by her family and friends.
In later years she kept sewing with her scraps and made linus quilts for toddlers or youth and donated them to hospitals, capstone, nursing homes, etc. (at least 150) until last year.
