He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Sherlock and Edna Sherlock; his parents-in-law, Erwin and Betty Knigge; and his brothers-in-law, Roger Kaufman and Stanley Thomas.
He is survived by: his wife Marcia L. Knigge Muske; his stepdaughter Connie Knicely; his daughter-in-law J. R.; his grandchildren, Erin Knicely, Phil Knicely, Alexa Muske, Rebekah Muske and Joshua Muske; and his siblings, Ellis, Lilli (Del Clary), Ida (Jim Penny), Chris (Wayne McGrew), Treina Kaufman and Ella Thomas. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established to St. James Lutheran Church.
