He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lee Cooper and Ella Cooper (Williamson); his sons, LeRoy Ewing (Sparky) and Sparky; his mother-in-law Helen Ewing; his wife Helen Jean; his son Tom Cooper (Cindy) of Gering; his grandchildren, Cassidy Cooper of California, Coulter Maestas (Matt) of Torrington, Bryttni Kerk (Ethan) of Gering and T. J. Morrow (Mary) of Missouri; his great grandchildren, Tryten, Brixton, Breckyn Kerk, Nolan, Emily Maestas, Jack and Brooks Morrow; his siblings, Dorothy Hankins, Violet Schott (Bob), Mary Baker (Larry), George Cooper and Norman Cooper (Sue); and his brother-in-law John Ewing. He was also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of the LeRoy Ewing "Sparky" Cooper Memorial Fund.
