It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Kenneth William Strey of Gering, Nebraska, born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, who passed away at the age of 80, on June 20, 2024. He was predeceased by : his parents, Bill Strey and Helen Strey of Mitchell, NE; his in-laws, Chet and Evelyn Dokken of Sun City, AZ; and his brother-in-law Gene Miller.

He is survived by : his wife Sandra Dokken; his sister Dee Miller (Strey) of Omaha, NE; his children, Shelley Rowlee (Tom) of Gering, NE, Shannon Brunner (Kelly) of Scottsbluff, NE and Kelly Strey (Tammy) of Scottsbluff, NE; and his grandchildren, T. J. Rowlee (Amanda), Shurell Mize (Jarred), Stephanie Keller (Chad), Brandi Brunner, Samantha Williams (Sean), Tyler Brunner, Trevor Brunner, Kellian Strey and Ethan Strey. He is also survived by 12 great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Mitchell Federated Church (1451 Center Ave, Mitchell, NE 69357). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 29th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

It is respectfully requested that in lieu of flowers, memorials in Ken's honor be made in the care of his family to be designated at a later time.
