He was predeceased by: his parents, James Gibson and Ella Houghtaling; his stepmother Edna Gibson; his sister Betty Vifquain; and his daughter Laurie Joan Gibson.
He is survived by: his former spouse Beverly McCoy; his sons, Kim Gibson of Mitchell, Mark Gibson of New York and Todd Gibson of Denver; his siblings, Gary Gibson of Fremont, California and Florence Weber of Colorado Springs; and his son-in-law Roger Hyde.
