It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Charley Frank Matthaei (Gering, Nebraska), who passed away on November 21, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Matthaei and Rose Matthaei (Negherbon); his wife Lois Weld of Salem; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Weld and Nancy Weld.
He is survived by: his siblings, Betty Weld of Springville, Iowa and Donald Matthaei (Carol) of Spencer; and his brother-in-law Wayne Weld of Wenatchee, Washington. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Memorials may be given to Central Church of Christ or the donor's choice.
