It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Bessie McMurtry of Gering, Nebraska, who passed away on December 22, 2024, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Faye Pomplun (Beezley); her husband James "Jim" McMurtry; her son Howard Greene (Carol); her brother Wayne "Pete"; her sister-in-law Barbara Pomplun; her sisters, Alice Fair (Jim) and Florence Greene Ash; and her siblings-in-law, Gary McMurtry, Ruth Hauschild (Apsie) and Mellie McKinney (Hal).
She is survived by: her father George Pomplun; her children, James "Monte" McMurtry (Melody) and Peggy Robinson (Rocky); her grandchildren, Melinda Macias, Elisa Roseborough (Todd), Dustin McMurtry, Kelli French, Tobin McMurtry (Alicia), Clinton McMurtry and Haley Vodehnal (Travis); her great grandchildren, McKenzi Monson, Rylee Roseborough, Caden Garton, Payton Roseborough, Caleb Garton, Reegan French, Bailee French, Carter Garton, Addyson Roseborough, Caleb Hamilton, Noah McMurtry and Lenny McMurtry; her great great grandchildren, Cassie and Kaitlyn Monson; her sister-in-law Judy McMurtry; and her great grandchildren, Cody Garton and Robert French.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel (3201 Ave B, Scottsbluff, NE 69361).
Memorials may be given to the family to be designated at a later date.
