She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry S Burbach and Minnie Burbach (Schwindt); her husband Lew Asselin; her daughter-in-law Laura Asselin; her siblings, Donna McBride, Janice Harimon, Richard Burbach and Bill Burback; her grandsons, Justin Asselin and Brady Smith; her great grandchild Syndee Brester; and her brothers-in-law, Ed McBride and George Harimon.
She is survived by: her children, Lon Asselin, Demaris (James Berger), Janna (Randy Smith), Kelly (GiGi Asselin) and Randy (Julee Asselin); and her sisters-in-law, Pam Burback of Scottsbluff and Cathy Burbach of Chadron, NE.. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gering Memorial Chapel (1755 11th St, Gering, NE 69341). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Gering United Methodist Church (900 O St, Gering, NE 69341).
