It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Armeda C Freel of Gering, Nebraska, born in Cherokee, Iowa, who passed away on September 3, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Plueger and Claribel Plueger; her children, Tyler Vaughn and Laurie Vaughn; her siblings, Bob, Lyle Dean (Jim), Carol and Jackie; her siblings-in-law, Delores, John, Ray and Weymond; and her stepdaughter-in-law Ronda Freel.

She is survived by: her former husband Leroy Vaughn; her son Kevin; her husband Jim Freel; her children, Douglas Vaughn and Vicki Pfortmiller (Gary); her stepchildren, Gary Freel, Barry Freel and Sandra Preble (Mike); her grandchildren, Kevin, Brian, Tyler, Hagen and Dalton; her stepgrandchildren, Michael, Trisha, Joshua, Zachry, Charles, Jennifer and Alanna; her siblings, Don (Mable), Gene, Ken (Connie), Stan Plueger (Pat), Sandra Dougan and Lawanda Mendez; and her siblings-in-law, Sally and Eddie. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to St. James Lutheran Church in Scottsbluff or the Midwest Theater.
