She was predeceased by: her parents, Allerton "Al" and Betty Downer (Franklin); and her brother-in-law Jerry Hoffman. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Wineman; her son Jeff; her siblings, Mary Jo Hoffman, Hal Downer (Linda) and Nora Sandine (Mick); and her sister-in-law Toni Lacy (Jack). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Festival of Hope or Gering Volunteer Fire & Rescue.
