He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Swanson and Florence Swanson (Christensen); his son Brian Swanson; and his granddaughter Molly Kleckner. He is survived by: his children, Brent Swanson (Pam) of Genoa, Brenda Buhl (Chad) of Genoa and Brooke Kleckner (Joe) of Genoa; his grandchildren, Devon Korth (Jessica), Chase Buhl, Kadin Buhl, Ryder Kleckner, Annabelle Kleckner and Raina Swanson; and his siblings, Christine Swanson, Cindy Bird, Bob Swanson (Laurie) and Ann Kildare (Ken).
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Augustana Lutheran Church (724 Webster Ave, Genoa, NE 68640). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
