She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul W. Metcalf and Jennie Metcalf (Jordan); her husband Merle Peterson; her brother Marvin Metcalf; and her siblings-in-law, Leroy Peterson, Curtis Peterson, Bud Burke, Edwin Olson, Katherine Peterson, Jeanette Olson and Maybelle Burke.
She is survived by: her children, Jennie Peterson (Robert) of Denver, Colorado and David Peterson of Clarksville, Texas; her grandson William Peterson of Clarksville, Texas; and her sister-in-law Anne Peterson of Genoa. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.
The family suggests memorials to Augustana Lutheran Church, the Genoa U.S. Indian School Foundation, the Genoa Volunteer Fire Department, or the Nance County Agricultural Society for the Nance County Fair.
