He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ritterling and Anna Ritterling (Hoops); his wife Lois Hobelmann of Byron; his siblings, Mildred Holle (Vernon), Ray Ritterling (Janet) and Larry Ritterling; his siblings-in-law, Norm Doehring, Delmar Hobelmann, Dean Hobelmann and Cathy Hobelmann; and his nephew Steve Holle.
He is survived by: his children, Paula Day (Steve) of Hebron, Nebraska, Patti Holt (Matthew) of Copperas Cove, Texas and Jon Ritterling (Kris) of Omaha, Nebraska; his grandchildren, Rachel Thompson (Nick) of Hayward, Nicholas Lewellyn (Bethanie) of Hebron, Joshua Holt (Bianca) of DuPont, Mackensi Holt of Washington, DC, Nathan and Sarah Ritterling of Omaha; his great grandchildren, Lincoln Thompson, Brixlee, Brayson Lewellyn and Caleb Holt; his sisters, Leora Doehring of Salina, Lorna Ludwig (Robert) of Deshler and Janet McCartney (Sid) of Lincoln, Nebraska; his siblings-in-law, Gladys Hobelmann of Byron, Deanna Hobelmann of Republic, Kansas and Wayne Hobelmann of Kansas City, Kansas; and his stepchildren, Mike Richters, Jody and Byron Wiemer.
