He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius J. Lentfer and Sophia Lentfer (Steenbock); his parents-in-law, Fred and Mary Hinrichs; and his siblings, George, Henry, Ervin, Ernest, Wilma Getz, Alberta Hulse and Alice Mendoza.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Kay Hinrichs; his daughters, Joy Lentfer and Gay Lentfer; his siblings, Lawrence Lentfer (Nancy) and LuEtta Strothkamp; and his siblings-in-law, Lillian Lentfer and Larry Hinrichs (Sue). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials are to be directed to the Harmony Cemetery.
