It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peggy H. Smith (Geneva, Nebraska), who passed away on November 17, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Keith Heineman and Josephine Heineman (Merritt); her husband Richard C. Smith; her brothers, Bob Heineman and James Heineman; her daughter-in-law Carolyn Smith; and her grandson-in-law Eric Olafsen.
She is survived by: her children, Rodney Smith (Sally) of Pace, Stanley Smith of Lees Summit and Debra Zimmer (Karl) of Roca, Nebraska; her grandchildren, Amie Hollard (Pierre), Mitzi Olafsen, Karina Brandt (Nate), Stanley Smith and Troy Heinrichs; her great grandchildren, Ryan Brandt, Jacob Rath, Joshua Rath, Andrew Rath (Stephy), Meghan Brandt, Sophie Hollard, Sarah Hollard, Chloe Hollard, Hannah Olafsen, Blakely Olafsen and Madison Merritt; and her great great grandchildren, Anastasia Rath and Mateo Rath. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Church in Bruning or the Carleton American Legion Auxiliary.
