Marion W. Yates Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Marion W. Yates (Geneva, Nebraska), who passed away on January 2, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion W. Yates, Sr. and Thelma Yates (Folkner). He is survived by: his wife Teri (McGowan); his children, Shannon Spies (Michael), Ryan Yates (Kathy) and Brooke Braun (Michael); his grandchildren, Avery Braun, Keziah Braun and Martin Yates; his sisters, Cheryl Priest (Gerry) and Dawn Nuttall; his father-in-law James McGowan; his siblings-in-law, Hank McGowan and Ann Knust (Ken); and his nieces and nephews, Shane Hansen, Ryan McGowan, Shelly Martinez, Paige Milliken and Addison McGowan. He is also survived by five great nephews and nieces.

A memorial service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Farmer & Son Funeral Home (242 N 10th St, Geneva, NE 68361).
