She was predeceased by: her parents, Eleanor Sophia (Saatmann) and George Andrew Hillgren; her husband Louis South (Bill); her brothers, Donald (Helen) and Ernest Hillgren (Dutch); her son Ronnie; her stepchildren, Dixie Schmidt and Jerry South; her son-in-law Glen Roesler; and her sister-in-law Roberta Nichols.
She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Hume (Thomas) of West Richland, Ronda Rich (Lynn) of York, Becky Roesler of Geneva and Regina Jorgensen (Joe) of Evanston; her stepchildren, Peggy Gibert and Larry South; her sister-in-law Joy Rae Scanlan; and her friend Eleanor Dittmer. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
