He was predeceased by: his parents, William Galaway and Grace Galaway (Smail); his wife Nancy Stricklett Berggren; his siblings, Bill, Clyde, Bob, Russ, Agnes and Nellie Douglas; and his stepchildren, Peggy Weis and Mike Weis.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Schulz of York and Nancy Galaway of Lincoln; his stepchildren, Connie Landrus of Lincoln, Shelly Cassidy (Dave) of Fairmont and Ken Berggren of Unityville, PA; his grandchildren, Sara Schall (Jake) of York, Josh Schulz of York, Shaina Schulz of York, JJ Schulz of York, Jordan Galaway (Miranda Scdoris), Joni Cassidy (Rachelle) of Norfolk, Abbie Dishong (Clayton) of Shickley and Jenna Tuberville (David) of Fairmont; and his great grandchildren, Jerrick Roberts, Kyson, Kemper Schall, Knox, Zoey Cassidy, Kaylee Dishong, Arlo, Millie Tuberville and Michael Joseph Galaway.
