He was predeceased by: his parents, George Keyes and Marion Keyes; and his son Jeff Keyes. He is survived by: his children, Wilbur Keyes of York, Neb, Paul Keyes of Dearborn, Michigan, Marion Keyes of Indianapolis and Judy England of Lincoln, Neb; his daughter-in-law Bonnie Keyes of Geneva, Neb; his pet Macaw; and his sister Katherine Merchant. He is also survived by 8 grand children; 7 great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
