He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Paul Haumont and Letha Ione Pracht; his former wife Doris Jean Haumont; his brothers, Clarence and Lee Jr.; and his close friend Rick Still.

He is survived by: his pet Wag; his wife Genny Haumont of McCool Junction, Nebraska; his children, Mike (Anita Haumont) of Geneva, Rob (Selena Haumont) of Hastings, Amanda (Bill Schropfer) of Fairmont, Susan (Steve Gerken) of McCool Junction and William (Lisa Sterling) of Elko, Nevada; and his grandchildren, Brent (Stephanie Haumont) of North Carolina, Justine Truckenbrod of Omaha, Courtney Haumont of Omaha, Christian (Brandi Haumont) of Geneva, Destiny Shipman of Omaha, Jared (Skye Shipman) of Grand Island, Jacob (Moran Shipman) of York, Wyatt, Garrett Hansen of Fairmont, Dietra (BJ Miller) of Fairmont, Nathan (Morgan Schropfer) of Kansas, Kody, Ryan Haumont of Kearney, Joey Koci of Hastings, Madison Gerken of Hastings, Payton, Braxton and Dawson Gerken of McCool Junction, Nebraska. He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
