Ellison of Funk, Nebraska, born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on September 15, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Ellison and Mary Louise Ellison (Thomas); his mother-in-law Lily Smith; and his brother-in-law David Smith. He is survived by: his former wife Karen Cullingham; his wife Sherri Leach (Smith) of Funk; his stepdaughter Stacy Leach; his daughters, Valerie Mecher (Cory) of Grand Island, Nebraska and Melissa Neemann (Greg) of Fairbury, Nebraska; his stepdaughters, Gina Schmalz of Holdrege and Stacy Paulson (Jon) of Cedar Springs, Michigan; his grandchildren, Mackenzie VanEssen, Ava Mecher, Michael Rily, Edith Neemann, Payton, Brayden, Jaydin, Raygen Schmalz, Natalie, Ethan, Emily and Gavin Paulson; his sister Joanne Wilson (David) of Funk; his brother-in-law Ron Smith of Holdrege; and also Matt Schmalz. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established in Jim's honor, and kindly suggested to the family for later designation.
