He was predeceased by: his parents, Axel Ludvig and Hannah Amelia "Duzenia" Sjogren (Gustafson); his siblings, Merle Sjogren (Betty) and Delores Swanson (Arden); and his siblings-in-law, Betty Ruth and Daniel Arden Lindquist (Phyllis).
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Lindquist; his daughters, Janet Ruth, Mary Ann Paulsen (James) of Funk and Janet Barger (James) of Omaha, Neb; his granddaughters, Shelly Gifford (Tom), Leslie Gerdes (Jason), Stephanie Todd (Damien), Krista Jameson (Robert) and Bethany Barger (Scott Van Den); and his great grandchildren, Mariska, Alexis Gifford, Lauren, Megan, Benjamin Gerdes, Landon, Dalton Todd and Ruby Jameson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A memorial has been established in Derrel's honor, and kindly suggested to the Fridhem Lutheran Church; Camp Carol Joy Holling; the Funk First Responders; or the donor's choice.
