He was predeceased by: his parents, James Jr. Mobley and Alice Mobley (Crippen); and his brothers-in-law, Lynn Upton and Phil Warner. He is survived by: his wife Mary Upton of Fullerton; his sons, Robert Mobley of Fullerton, Paul Mobley (Geri) of Seward and Tom; his grandchildren, Ethan, Dalton Mobley and Mariettah Werner; his great grandchildren, Cleo and Marcie Mobley; and his siblings, Connie Upton of Winside, Mike Mobley (Cheryl) of West Texas, TX and Gary Mobley (Violet) of Decatur, NE. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
