He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred L. Hoefner and Anetta "Nettie" Hoefner (Basler); his son Kenneth Hoefner; his son-in-law Rodney Roemer; his grandson Chad Jeremy Hoefner; and his siblings, Helen Hoefner, Jim and Neal Hoefner.
He is survived by: his wife Nona Hoefner of Fremont; his daughter Sandra Roemer of Fremont; his grandchildren, Tammy Wordekemper, Wendy Dunn (Josh) and Andrea Seaman (Rick); and his sister-in-law Barbara Hoefner. He is also survived by four great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
