He was predeceased by: his parents, Alois Shavlik (Louis) and Ludmila Blatny Shavlik (Millie); his wife Jean; and his siblings-in-law, George Vanis and Phyllis Shavlik.
He is survived by: his children, District, Laura Rahlfs (Henry) of North Bend, NE, Paul Shavlik (Lucy) of Fremont, NE and Nancy Soukup (Jack) of Davey, NE; his grandchildren, Henry Rahlfs, Jr., Mick Rahlfs, Bill Rahlfs, Connie Hartung and Renae Lockhart; his great grandchildren, Michael, Brittany Rahlfs, Branden Claussen, Lane, Ciera Hartung, Melany, Samantha and Peyton Lockhart; and his siblings, Milo Shavlik of North Platte and Rose Vanis of David City. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
