With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rudolph Vanek Jr. of Fremont, Nebraska, born in Wahoo, Nebraska, who passed away on May 6, 2021 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Rudie Vanek and Elaine Vanek (Roberts); his sister Judy; and his brother-in-law Jerry Cartwright. He is survived by: his former wife Darlene Vlcan; his sons, Rusty and Randy (Lisa); his former spouse Joleen McTaggert; his son Shane (Kelly); his wife Christy Schow (Brunk); his stepchildren, Cayleigh Schow (Chas) and Harrison Schow (Molly); his grandchildren, Evan Vanek (Victoria), Miles Ward and Aubrey Schow; and his great grandchild Brody.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Fremont Area Alzheimer's Fund, Parkinson's Foundation, or Jochebed's Hope to help kids in Indonesia.
