He was predeceased by: his parents, Odilo Ahlers and Esther Ahlers (Klein); his brother Luke; and his close friend Dianna Welstead Hawkins. He is survived by: his daughters, Lisa Wilcox (Brian) and Pamela Sandoval; his siblings, Mary Roth (Joseph), Frances Ahlers, Susan Kruger (Ken), Gloria Martin, Karla McClennen (Michael), Leland (Geraldine), Russell (Marlene), Roy (Gayle), Mark (Debbie), Paul and Jeffrey Ahlers (Daneva); his grandchildren, Ashley, Kelsey, Jenna, Mollie, Damon and Zachary; and his great grandchildren, Khloei and Kinsleigh. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Moser Memorial Chapel Funeral & Cremation Services (2170 N Somers Ave, Fremont, NE 68025). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
