He was predeceased by: his mother Dorothea Hegemann (Pieper); his wife Alice Kaup; his son Allen Hegemann (Al); his grandson Nicholas Hegemann; his siblings, Adolf Hegemann (Lorene), Raymond Hegemann (Arlene), Leonard Hegemann (Cecilia), Joe Hegemann, Adella Fendrick (Jerome), Helen Schlautman (Richard), Arlene Doerneman (Reuben), Sister Dorelia Hegemann, Marie Kruger (Marius) and Kathleen Baumert (Hubert); and his siblings-in-law, Leander Kaup, Clarence Kaup and Marjorie Hagedorn (Frank).
He is survived by: his father Theodore Hegemann; his siblings, Victor Hegemann (Mary Ann) of Southlake and Sister Dorothea; his sisters-in-law, JoAnn Hegemann of Howells, Patricia Kaup of West Point and Doris Kaup of Beemer; his grandchildren, Bryce Kolund (Tracey), Benjamin Beaudette (Sydney), Andrew, Elizabeth, Alexander Hegemann, Megan Patel (Niraj), Jared Scherling, Schuyler, Dominick, Phoenix, Zayne, Ella Rose Hegemann, Barrett, William, Joseph and Heinrich Hegemann; and his great grandchildren, Shea, August, Ellis Kolund, Ravi Patel and Cooper Beaudette.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moser Memorial Chapel Funeral & Cremation Services (2170 N Somers Ave, Fremont, NE 68025). A rosary was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Moser Memorial Chapel (2170 N Somers Ave, Fremont, NE 68025). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (3400 E 16th St, Fremont, NE 68025).
Memorials may be directed to Bergan Catholic Schools or the Knights of Columbus in Fremont.
