The memory of Robert D. Elrod of Fremont, Nebraska, who passed away on March 25, 2025 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd and Dora'Gooden'Elrod; his wife Shirley Strohm; and his siblings, Lorna and Butch.
He is survived by: his sisters, Kay Waterman and Betty Elrod; his brother-in-law Tom Sasse (Sharon); his children, Dave Elrod (Georgia Sdyzyk), Mike Elrod and Robin Jones (Kevin); and his grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Smith, Joshua Pommier, Justin Pommier, Larry Miller and Chad Searle (Brittany). He is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ludvigsen Mortuary - Fremont (1249 E 23rd St, Fremont, NE 68025). A funeral service was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM.
