He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Porter and Thelma Porter (Colson); his brother Robert Sr.; and his siblings-in-law, Michael Johnson, Betty Peoples, Delores Panowicz, Donna Cooper, Linda Porter, Nora Pope and Irene Porter.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Porter of Fremont; his son Richard Porter of Fremont; his brothers, Charles Porter (Anne), Larry Porter (Helen) and Danny Porter; and his sister-in-law Mona Oliver (Jim). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
