He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Schmoldt and Agnes Schmoldt (Kirch); his wife Lois Dostal; his daughter Arliss (Rick Wassenberg); his stepdaughter Brenda Cross; and his siblings, Burton Schmoldt, Dorothy Dobberstein and Fern Schlake.
He is survived by: his children, Dion Schmoldt (Karen), Owen Schmoldt (Carmen), Devona Kaup, Donalyn Williams (Tony) and Clarissa Schmoldt; his stepdaughter Kandy Law (Mike); and also Brett Cross (Jeri). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Moser Memorial Chapel Funeral & Cremation Services (2170 N Somers Ave, Fremont, NE 68025). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Presbyterian Church (520 W Linden Ave, Fremont, NE 68025).
