He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Pleskac and Josephine Pleskac (Kudrna); his grandmother Sisson; his granddaughter Falan Pleskac; and his great grandchild Austin Hansen.

He is survived by: his children, James, Joe, Jr. (Mary), John (Shirley), Debra (Ronald Hansen), Jeff, Sr. (Diana), Cheryl and Jerome, Sr. (Patricia). He is also survived by 8 great-great grandchildren.
