He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Rooney and Margarette Rooney (Hogan); his wife Donna (Riley); and his brothers, Paul, Joseph and Patrick Rooney.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Rooney (Michelle) of Omaha and Joanne Clark (Bobby) of Colon; his siblings, James Rooney (Mary) of Fresno, Abbot Marcel Rooney of Conception, Missouri, Margaret Rooney of Conception, MO and Mary Kevin Rooney of Wichita, KS; and his sister-in-law Patricia Rooney of Elkhorn, NE. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
