John touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his father Stanley Cerny; his wife Julie Milburn; his daughters, Lisa Enninga (Jason) of Alexandria, MN, Jennifer Bartlett (Clifford III) of Pound Ridge, NY, Becky Cerny (Terry Hovorka) of Malvern, IA, Joni Wright of Council Bluffs, IA and Jessica Downing (Jesse) of Brooklyn, NY.; his grandchildren, Sidney, Joshua Enninga, Clifford IV, Tori, Grace, Abigail, Maya Bartlett, Edward Wright, Charlotte and John Downing; his son-in-law David Larsen of Omaha; his siblings, Trish Johnson (Randy) of Oakland, Bernard Cerny (Kay) of Avoca, IA, Steve Cerny (Cathy) of Fremont and Dan Cerny (Carol) of Bennington; his siblings-in-law, Elaine Cerny of Goodyear, AZ, Janet Cerny of Lincoln and Warren Matson of Schuyler; his mother Marie Brazda (Kalisek); his stepfather Otto Brazda; his daughter Debra Larsen; and his siblings, Jane Francis Cerny, Rose Marie Matson, Stanley Jr., Michael and Thomas Cerny.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Moser Memorial Chapel Funeral & Cremation Services (2170 N Somers Ave, Fremont, NE 68025). A rosary was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (3400 E 16th St, Fremont, NE 68025).
Memorials can be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church or Archbishop Bergan High School.
