He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman B. Rix and Avis Rix (Purdy); and his brother Bruce Rix. He is survived by: his sons, Christopher Rix (Lyndsay) of Tekamah and Lukas Rix of Omaha, Nebraska; his grandson Rylan Rix of Tekamah; and his siblings, Russell Rix (Patti) of Mesa, Arizona and Linda Schutt (Shawn) of Norfolk, Nebraska. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
