Prauner of Fremont, Nebraska, born in Norfolk, Nebraska, who passed away on January 13, 2023, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest C. Prauner and Marjorie I. Prauner (Reigle); his brother James; his parents-in-law, Herb and Bernice Wacker; and his siblings-in-law, Paul Wacker, Daryl Wacker, Sue Prauner and Sharon Grunke.
He is survived by: his son John Frederick (Christina); his wife Joanne Wacker; his daughter Kate Heineman (Paul); his grandchildren, Allison Heineman, Mason Rasmussen, Jacob Heineman, Payton Eyler, Anna Prauner, Olivia Prauner and Elijah Prauner; his sister Susan Volk (Rex); and his siblings-in-law, Bev Prauner, Herb Wacker (Judy), Dan Wacker (Carol), Marcus Wacker (Jean), Larry Grunke and Lori Fleming (Gary). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be designated to the Fremont Public Schools Foundation, Archbishop Bergan Catholic Schools in Fremont, St. John Lutheran School or Cemetery Fund Battle Creek, Battle Creek Public Schools Foundation, or Trinity Lutheran School Fremont.
