Hardy (Mertes); his grandmother Lola Mertes; and his sister Pamela Knapp. He is survived by: his former wife Karen Mohr; his children, Jamie Vanek (Roger) of Fremont and Eric Hardy (Kris) of Fremont; his brothers, Ben Hardy (Pat) of Temecula, CA and Bob Hardy of Cotopaxi, CO; his grandchildren, Carlie Vanek, Tanner Vanek (Melony Fiala), Trenten Hardy, Carter Vanek and Easton Hardy; his great grandchildren, Brayden Vanek and Cameron Vanek; and his nieces and nephews, Ryan Hardy, Paul Knapp, Matt Knapp, Ben Hardy, Jodie Hardy and Nicole Tucker.
