He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert, Sr. Brown and Bonnie Brown (Warner); his brothers, William and James Brown; his nephew William Anderson; and his mother-in-law Marjorie Doksansky.

He is survived by: his wife Renee Doksansky of Fremont; his sons, Troy Brown (Kim) of Fremont, Aaron Brown (Leslie) of Parker, CO and B. J. Brown (Amber Teesdale) of Powder Springs, Georgia; his siblings, Larry Brown of Fremont, Tom Brown (Vicki) of Fremont, Susan Anderson (Brad) of Fremont and Patty Brown of Fremont; and his grandchildren, Dereck White, Kaylin, Annissa, Samuel and Joslyn Brown.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Archbishop Bergan Catholic Schools, Friends of Fremont Parks, or Nebraska USA Softball.
