She was loved and cherished by many people including: her grandmother Barbie; her husband Don Rican; her children, Sara Roberts, Lance Mertens and Laura Whisler; her sons-in-law, Joerg Schumann and Jason Whisler; and her grandchildren, Addison, Kolton, Vinn, Easton and Emerson.

Donations can be made in her memory to METAvivor to fund metastatic breast cancer research.
