He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Gnuse and Elsie Gnuse (Hagerbaumer); his brothers, Verdell Gnuse and Eugene Gnuse (Becky); and his brothers-in-law, Louis Thernes, Kenneth Thernes and Willis Bopp.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Thernes; his daughters, Sheryl Stork (Dan) and Lori Essen (Brian); his granddaughter Jennie Scheel (Justin); his children, Allie, Carter and Craig Stork (Tifany); his grandchildren, Walter, Sadie and Charles; his son Eric Essen (Alex); his grandchildren, Easton and Ezra; and his daughter Emily Essen.
Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church, Fremont Public Schools Foundation, or Midland University.
