We bid farewell to James G. Kahrs in Franklin, Nebraska, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 5, 2024 at the age of 77. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Kahrs and Emily Kahrs (Douglass); his aunt Ruth Douglass; his in-laws, Homer and Patricia Gifford; his brothers-in-law, Elliott Nielsen, Delmer Meyer, Wendell Land and Terry Steinkruger; and his granddaughter April Schamp.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Gifford; his children, Deborah Schamp (Gary), Angela Stokes (Mike) and Michael Kahrs (Michelle); his grandson Bret Schamp (Athena); his siblings, Doug Kahrs (Betty), Bill Kahrs (Janea), Ruth Steinkruger, Judy Meyer Nielsen and Sara Beth Dorn (Denny); and his siblings-in-law, Peg Land, Sheryl Bach (Wayne), Dennis Gifford and Mike Gifford (Michelle).
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Franklin Congregational Church.
