He was predeceased by: his wife Dianna Novak; his sons, James Edward Novak Jr. (Cindy) and Scott Patrick Novak; and his brother-in-law Robert Irvin. He is survived by: his daughter Jamie Tietz (Eugene) of Fort Calhoun, NE; his stepsons, Jeffrey Dirkse (Sonja) of Omaha and Dennis Dirkse (Tammy) of Pueblo West, CO; his daughter-in-law Paula Novak of Omaha; his brothers, Bill Novak (Karen) of Omaha and Stanley Novak, Jr. of Omaha; his siblings-in-law, Lowell Dean Irvin (Jolene) of Fremont, NE and Janice Irvin of Riverside, CA; and also, Jeffrey and Dennis. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
