He was predeceased by: his father Charles Vrtiska. He is survived by: his mother Clara Vrtiska (Krikava); his wife Maureen; his sons, Scott Vrtiska (Renee) of Sweden, Michael Vrtiska (Jamie) of Cook, Eric Vrtiska (Stacey) of Auburn and Brian Vrtiska (Micaela) of Holmesville; his stepchildren, Matthew Klein (Tara) of Urbandale, Iowa and Rebecca Zimmerman (Tom) of Lincoln; and his siblings, Mary Theasmeyer (Bob) of Gothenburg, Elaine Essam (John) of Beatrice, Diane Barnard (Gail) of Beatrice, Janelle Keller (Rick) of Topeka, Kansas and David Vrtiska (Judy) of Wymore. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren.
