He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Messersmith and Zella Messersmith (Adkisson); and his sister Shirley Vickers. He is survived by: his spouses, Leora Knoll and Lea Messersmith of Farnam, NE; his children, Garold (Diane Samstad) of Farnam, Mike (Beth) of Gothenburg, Pat (Sandra) of Maywood and Pam Glodowski (James) of Farnam; and his brother-in-law Tom Vickers. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
