She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Pelton and Marjorie Pelton (Coleman); her husband Marvin Pethoud; her brother Keith Pelton; and her son-in-law Ken Allen.
She is survived by: her children, Sue Allen of Mitchell, SD, Pam Merz (Bruce) of Falls City, NE, Mike Pethoud (Gloria) of Adams, NE and Tim Pethoud (Rita); her grandchildren, Vicki Bangert (Jack), Jamie Haug (Erik), Sarah Waldron (Rick), Melissa Milliken, Mitch Merz (Amanda), Amber Allen, Marie Behrends (Matt), Trevor Merz (Lisa), Brian Pethoud (Lynn), Nicole Witt (Monty) and Kayla Pethoud; and her stepgrandchildren, Kevin McAuliffe (Kirsten), Gina Lempka (Mike) and John McAuliffe (Amanda). She is also survived by 29 great-grandchildren.
