He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Shafer and Phyllis Shafer (Rowell); his brother Luday; his sister-in-law Donna Shafer; his niece Holly Shafer; his brother-in-law Jere Timmerman; and his in-laws, Jesse and Donna Kirkendall.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie of Falls City; his siblings, Charlotte Timmerman of Bellevue, NE and Marlyn (Linda) of Springdale, AR; and his brother-in-law Bruce Kirkendall (Janet) of Auburn, NE. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Dorr & Clark Funeral Home (2303 Harlan St, Falls City, NE 68355). A graveside service was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Harris Cemetery.
