He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Medicine-Horse Jr. and Geraldine Dupuis; his stepfather Robert Schuetz; and his siblings, Diana Medicine Horse, Lydia Vi Medicine Horse, Anita Haukaas and Frank Medicine Horse III.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Medicine Horse; his children, Frankie Medicine Horse of Falls City, Beth Wabnum of Horton, Kansas, Ronald Wabnum of Kansas City and Colin Medicine Horse of Lawrence, Kansas; his stepchildren, Tabitha Cowhick of Olathe, Sharon Cowhick of Nevada, Missouri, Fred Cowhick of Rich Hill and Kenneth Cowhick of Alabama; and his siblings, Beverly Greemore (Marty) of Topeka, Nancy Bear of Horton, Kathy Bradley (Russell) of Horton, Barbara Weaver McIntosh of Alabama, Patti Sampleton (Otis) of Manhattan, Debbie Tartsah (Frank) of Cacahe, Barbara Medicine Horse of Lodge Grass, Raymond Schuetz of Horton and James Medicine Horse of Lodge Grass, Montana. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
