He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav Ludwig and Ella Augusta Zimmerman (Zimmerman). He is survived by: his wife Margaret Naomi Hill; his daughter Susan Sipple; his children-in-law, Bill Sipple and Carol Zimmerman; his grandchildren, Timothy Dale Chesnut (Christi), Angela Sue Quinn (Shawn), William Robert LeRoy "Robbie" Sipple (Amanda), Christina Elizabeth Sipple, Darcy Allan Zimmerman (Charity) and Lindsay Nichole Druba (Jeff); his stepgrandchildren, Loni Bahr (Cathy) and Kerry Fritz (Darin); his great grandchildren, Andrew James Dean (Brooke), Justin Timothy Chesnut, Derek William Cook, Collin Robert Cook, Kasen Thomas Sipple, Mason Jeffrey Wurtele, Kamden Philip Sipple, Jeffrey Thomas Druba, Tallan Jax Zimmerman, Kyler Neal Sipple, Lane Austin Druba, Noah Christopher Sipple, Kasey Nicole Druba and Kemper Louise Sipple; his son Thomas; and his sister Rosella Harshbarger. He is also survived by 8 step great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and 5 step great great grandchildren.
