It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Gerdes of Falls City, Nebraska, who passed away on April 29, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Gerdes and Julie Gerdes (Egner); his siblings, Vernel, Mary Ann Baker and Helen Junhenie; and his significant other Margaret McCurdy.
He is survived by: his former wife Caroline Strecker; and his children, Kevin (Stephanie) of Falls City, Michael (Patricia) of Weeping Water, NE and Cathy Hall (Tom) of Falls City. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
