With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Meleese R. Schmidt of Fairmont, Nebraska, who passed away on March 5, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar H. Beekman and Francis M. Beekman (Carstens); her brothers, Merv Beekman (Jenny) and Rod Beekman; and her siblings-in-law, Paul Dammann, Lorin Schmidt (Nancy), Marvin Schmidt, Norma Beekman and Esther Ward (Bill).
She is survived by: her husband Richard Schmidt of Fairmont, Nebraska; her son John Schmidt (Jann Geiler); her grandson Anthony Schmidt (AJ) of Bozeman, Montana; her siblings, Madeleine Dammann of Albuquerque, Rush Beekman (Sally) of Beatrice, Fred Beekman of Beatrice and Tom Beekman (Becky) of Farwell, Texas; her sister-in-law Sherri Beekman of Beatrice, Nebraska; and her close friend Michelle McCoy. She is also survived by nieces, nephews.
